Obituary

Josephine Rosenthal was born in Bayonne New Jersey, on November 30, 1928. Josephine was married to Charles Rosenthal on August 15 1953. Josephine was known for her abundance of energy and in her later years her strength and independence was evident to all who met her. Josephine faith was very important to her. She had been an active member of St. Anne’s Parish including her participation as a Eucharistic Minister and her membership in the Christian Mothers. Before Josephine moved to Long Island she had worked for General Electric on Lexington Avenue in NYC and even recently would speak of how she enjoyed her time there. Josephine also worked at various jobs, while raising her six children, including Southside Hospital, Brentwood School District and Hartfields. Josephine is survived by her children Charles (Maria), Thomas (Rosemarie), AnneMarie (Steven) Tucci, Donna (Philip) Wertheim, Michael (Lenore Mamarella), John (Christine). Josephine was a loving grandmother to her fifteen grandchildren, Thomas, Kaitlyn, Christopher, Ryan, Joshua, Chelsea, Jonathan, Emma, Maxine, Eric, Sara, Hannah, Tamara, Jake and Cole and her great grandchild Adalyn Josephine. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Nassau Suffolk Services for Autism (NSSA).

Mrs Rosenthal, you were always one of the finest and most sincere people on this Earth.i will never forget what a good and true friend you were to my mother. My deepest condolences to your family. You are greatly missed.
